Our MaxiloMandibular Fixation
(MMF) is different
MaxiloMandibular
Fixation (MMF) is the
use of wires or bands to
immobilize the upper and
lower teeth for a period of
time to prevent the
displaced jawbone from
moving after bimaxillary surgery.
One Percent's medical team
has experience working
with facial bones in a wide
variety of cases and performs
surgeries with the intention of
achieving a correct and safe bite
without MMF. This results in a safer
surgery and a more comfortable
recovery with less pain and discomfort.
Pretty and functional
at the same time
Orthognathic surgery is
a surgery that can make
a huge aesthetic difference,
but it's equally important that
you can function well.
At One Percent Plastic Surgery,
you'll have a successful surgery
because you'll be with us from
start to finish, and we're skilled
and knowledgeable enough to
capture the best of both worlds.
3D Composite
Face Reduction
We do not simply perform
orthognathic surgery and
facial contouring surgery together:
we first functionally normalize
the position of the jaw with
orthognathic surgery, and then
adjust the horizontal and vertical
lengths of the face to match
the shape of the face with facial
contouring surgery.
This is followed by additional
aesthetic procedures that
carefully consider the facial lines.
The perfect standard of beauty,
the golden ratio, the face of harmony!
The 1% of faces that are beautiful with golden proportions are created by carefully analyzing facial bone imbalances
and harmonizing bones, skin, fat layers, muscles, and teeth.

Answering All Your Questions About Double Jaw Surgery
양악수술에 대한 모든 궁금증에 답하다

Why, is double jaw surgery One Percent?
Many hospitals focus on the aesthetic part and overlook
the functional part when undergoing maxillofacial surgery.
Or, conversely, many patients consider oral and maxillofacial surgery
based on the functional part only and cannot decide because they think
that it is difficult to meet the aesthetic part of oral and maxillofacial surgery.
The functional part of jaw correction surgery is the basic of the basics,
but the aesthetic part is also an important part that should not be overlooked.
We can confidently say that One Percent Plastic Surgery is
the only place where you can get the best of both worlds:
aesthetics and functionality.
Growing Beyond Limits
Double Jaw Surgery Procedure
At One Percent, we don't specialize in any one surgical approach -
our surgeons are skilled in all aspects of maxillofacial surgery.
The right approach for you will depend on your symptoms, and it's best to choose the approach that best improves your condition.
At One Percent, we consider the direction of movement of your jaw bones, the location of your nerve lines,
and the risks involved to recommend the best option for you, and perform the surgery that best suits your comfort and safety,
resulting in aesthetically and functionally pleasing results.
Intraoral Vertical
Ramus Osteotomy
Sagittal Split
Ramus osteotomy
A longitudinal incision is made in the posterior region of the lower jaw where the nerve cord does not exist, allowing the jaw joint to naturally return to its proper position without artificial immobilization.
Procedure
The back of the lower jaw is osteotomized and divided, then the jawbone is pushed back to overlap and locked with pins and screws.
It is characterized by a relatively short operation time, no worries about nerve damage, and no separate fixation measures after osteotomy.
Feature 01
It has a great initial hold and is also effective at adding length.
Because the surgery avoids nerve travel pathways, the chance of nerve damage is very low.
Feature 02
This is where pins and screws are placed between the bones to stabilize jaw movement immediately after surgery.
It can also help restore lower jaw motor function if you have TMJ pain or disorder.
Feature 03
The ability to live with some immobilization after surgery allows for a more comfortable and safe recovery.
A MaxiloMandibular Fixation, which ties the upper and lower jaw together for some time, is required and provides less initial stability.
Feature 04
If the nerve line is close to the outer surface of the lower jaw, there is a greater chance of nerve damage, so great care must be taken during surgery.

1
We provide all our clients with 3D CT imaging to show
the difference between before and after surgery.
It can be difficult to show the difference
between before and after surgery
if you are not satisfied with the results,
but we are so confident in our results that
we provide all of our patients with a close
comparison of before and after surgery
using 3D CT imaging.
2
BRACE treatment is not mandatory;
it is only recommended for those who absolutely need it.
Some clinics may recommend that
orthodontic treatment is necessary in all cases
when performing bimaxillary surgery.
However, one percent of surgeries are based on a
comprehensive review, including the bite,
and the problem may be resolved with surgery alone
without orthodontic treatment.
Therefore, if we determine that orthodontic treatment is
not necessary, we will not recommend it unnecessarily.
3
We have extensive clinical experience
in midface reduction surgery.
Arguably the most important aspect of shortening
a long face is the reduction of the midface.
If you only reduce the length of the lower jaw
to adjust the length of the face, the length
of the midface will throw the proportions of the face out
of whack and confuse the overall proportions.
This is why midface reduction is a difficult technique
that can only be safely executed with a lot of
experience and proven clinical practice.
