Precautions

1. Water and meals are available three hours after the operation, but the mouth does not open very wide, so it may be comfortable to eat porridge or soup-type meals for a few days. Do not overdo it for a week
2. Avoid talking a lot, opening your mouth wide, and excessive massage for a week after surgery.
3. Please do not drink or smoke for a month to recover the surgical site.
4. Please take the medicine well. Antibiotics, painkillers, stomach medicine, and disinfectants are included. If the pain is not controlled well even after taking the medicine, you can take additional painkillers. (If side effects such as urticaria occur after taking it, please stop taking it and contact the hospital.)
5. Washing your face and washing your hair is possible after removing the thread. The sutured area should not come into contact with water, and if it comes into contact with water, the tape must be removed, dried, and then re-dressed, so please contact the hospital and come to the hospital.
6. Sleep with your head above your heart for a week after surgery. Do not lie on one side and sleep.
7. Do not use a hot and cold pack after the operation. (The sensation in the area of the operation may become dull, resulting in frostbite or burns.)
8. The bruises are temporary and please take care of them while using a hat or sunscreen to prevent pigmentation.
9. Avoid sauna, excessive exercise for a month, and a light walk will help relieve swelling.

Treatment

1. There may be a small amount of bleeding at the surgical part for 2-3 days after the operation. If bleeding occurs, please give a cold pack and if it persists, contact the hospital.
2. Because of the swelling immediately after the operation, the area around the face may look bumpy and the face may look bigger on the side, but it gets better in 2-3 weeks. For 3-6 months, the loss of facial sensation, pain, and asymmetry of the shape may be seen, but it gets better and better.
3. Temporary tinnitus can occur. It is a symptom of swelling around the ears, so it naturally improves as the swelling goes out.
